About the position

The Senior Accountant is responsible for providing accurate financial information to management by researching and analyzing accounting data and preparing reports. This role assists in the development and implementation of accounting policies and procedures, provides guidance to other accounting staff, and works closely with other departments to ensure accurate and timely reporting of financial information. The Senior Accountant also plays a key role during periodic reviews and audits conducted by external auditors.

Responsibilities

• Research and analyze accounting data to provide accurate financial information to management.
• Prepare financial reports and assist in the development of budgets and forecasts.
• Manage financial risks and maintain internal controls.
• Prepare tax returns and support audits.
• Provide guidance to other accounting staff and assist in the implementation of accounting policies and procedures.
• Collaborate with other departments to ensure timely reporting of financial information.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Senior Accountant or similar role in finance or accounting.
• Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting.
• Experience with budgeting and forecasting processes.
• Ability to analyze financial data and prepare reports accurately.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Nice-to-haves

• CPA certification or equivalent is preferred.
• Experience with accounting software and ERP systems.
• Knowledge of tax regulations and compliance.
