About the position

The position involves developing and implementing a sales strategy that aligns a global customer strategy to local customer requirements for all Axcelis products, including tools, services, and parts. The individual will be responsible for driving implementation of Global Account Plans for assigned territories and customers, selling all Axcelis products and services, and meeting revenue targets. The role requires liaising with various departments to ensure sales and marketing strategies are integrated with corporate objectives, providing technical product information to customers, and identifying products that align with customer needs. The individual will also be responsible for growing Axcelis market share, developing annual operating plans for accounts, coordinating customer meetings, and monitoring the competitive environment in the assigned territory, which includes Texas and Utah, preferably with the individual located near Dallas, TX.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement a sales strategy and/or align a global customer strategy to local customer requirements for all Axcelis products.
  • Drive implementation of Global Account Plans for assigned territory/customers.
  • Sell all of Axcelis' products and services in an assigned territory, industry segment, or account.
  • Meet revenue targets and other company goals.
  • Liaise with others across the organization to ensure sales and marketing strategies are integrated.
  • Provide administrative and technical product information to prospective and existing customers.
  • Identify and promote Axcelis products and services that align with customer's business needs.
  • Provide quotations for products and services and participate in the negotiation process.
  • Grow Axcelis market share across products in assigned territory.
  • Develop and implement sales strategy for gaining market share in accounts or target market segment.
  • Develop an Annual Operating Plan for each account.
  • Participate across functional areas as part of a team to achieve customer goals.
  • Coordinate and host customer meetings at customer and Axcelis sites.
  • Develop relationships with key customer contacts.
  • Stay abreast of industry, technology, and competitive environment.
  • Serve as liaison between customers and company departments.
  • Monitor the competitive environment to identify business threats and opportunities.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree with a minimum of 10 years of related experience; or 8 years' experience with a Master's degree; or a PhD with 5 years' experience; or equivalent work experience, preferably in a semiconductor vendor's environment.
  • 2-3 years of experience in a managerial capacity.
  • Proven successful track record in sales.
  • Ability to read, write, comprehend and speak English sufficiently well to perform job functions.
  • Ability to read, write, comprehend and speak other languages as required in the territory.
  • Good understanding of the semiconductor industry and its product offerings.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, negotiation and coaching skills.
  • Demonstrated business acumen and problem-solving abilities.
