About the position

The position is for a part-time house manager and childcare helper, primarily focused on household tasks with some childcare responsibilities. The role is designed to support a family with two young children, ensuring a well-organized home environment while also assisting with childcare needs.

Responsibilities

• Perform general cleaning, tidying, and organizing tasks around the home
• Take out the trash and organize household items
• Make beds and vacuum floors
• Sweep and water plants
• Pick up and tidy the home
• Break down cardboard boxes for recycling
• Handle laundry including washing, drying, and folding for both adults and children
• Run errands such as picking up dry cleaning and making Amazon returns
• Assist with food and meal preparation, including cooking and ingredient prep
• Clean up the kitchen, including washing dishes and loading/unloading the dishwasher
• Set up for dinner
• Help get children ready for daycare, including feeding breakfast and dressing them
• Drop off or pick up children from daycare, which is within walking distance
• Feed the baby and provide soothing care
• Change diapers and occasionally babysit the children

Requirements

• Previous experience with household management tasks
• Experience with childcare
• Ability to perform general cleaning and organizing tasks
• Capability to assist with meal preparation and cooking
• Good communication skills
