About The Position

Responsible for supervising personnel on assigned shift(s) and completion of all security tasks. This includes performing routine checks of all on-duty security personnel to ensure compliance with Post Orders, operating procedures, Client rules and regulations, and company policies. The role involves inspecting, observing, and evaluating security officer's work activities to monitor and assess individual quality of work and overall performance, conducting required assessments and tests, and checking all security posts and equipment to ensure safety, cleanliness, and full working order. The supervisor will implement corrections or report deficiencies to site management as necessary, and respond to reported incidents, emergencies, operational issues, and inquiries to ensure proper resolution. Additionally, the role includes coaching and mentoring the security workforce regarding compliance and performing training instruction as assigned. Administratively, the supervisor ensures timely and complete preparation and submission of all required operational documentation, maintains knowledge of and capability to operate all post equipment, determines and implements scheduling adjustments, and maintains communication with management and other supervisors regarding operational or personnel issues. Assistance from the Operations Manager will be coordinated to solve special situations.

Requirements

  • High School Degree or GED required.
  • U.S. Citizen, U.S. National, or Lawful Permanent Resident.
  • Must have completed and obtained a Class D license.
  • Must have a valid driver’s license.
  • At least two (2) years of responsible Supervisor experience in security, military, or law enforcement operations.
  • Must be neat, well-groomed, and present a professional appearance.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • The ability to identify, address, and resolve problems.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with all levels within the organization.
  • Demonstrated capacity and attributes for positive command presence, mature attitude, good judgement, proper handling of customer service issues, respectful subordinate management and leadership.
  • Ability and willingness to exercise supervisory capacity on behalf of General/Site/Project Manager with knowledge and capacity to explain and enforce CAS and Aviation Department rules and regulations.
  • Advocate for CAS’s customer-focused security and Client service initiatives.
  • Must possess strong interpersonal skills.
  • Must be able to understand and carry out written and oral instructions in English regarding the proper performance of duties.
  • Must be able to successfully complete, with a passing grade, all CAS administered training as required by the Greater Orlando Aviation Authority.
  • Must be able to successfully complete classroom, on-the-job, and re-current training.
  • Must be able to follow all screening/security policies and procedures.

Responsibilities

  • Responding to reported incidents, emergencies, operational issues and inquiries, and any other situations not adequately addressed in Post Orders as they arise and ensuring proper resolution.
  • Coaching and mentoring security workforce regarding Post Orders, Client rules and regulations, and company policy compliance.
  • Performing training instruction as assigned.
  • Ensuring timely and complete preparation and submission of all required operational documentation, including, but not limited to, post and patrol logs, notices, sign-in/sign-out rosters, Daily Activity Reports (DARS), Employee Statements and Incident Reports.
  • Maintaining knowledge of, and capability to operate, all post equipment and perform all the duties associated with the basic post/patrol officer(s) assignments and work tasks.
  • Determining and implementing scheduling adjustments and reassignment of workforce as needed for known requirements for current and subsequent shifts.
  • Maintaining communication with management and other supervisors, including, but not limited to, supervisor(s) on following shift(s) regarding any operational or personnel issues or issues that may reveal vulnerabilities or hinder successful accomplishment of security duties.
  • Coordinating assistance from the Operations Manager to solve special situations.
