As a Security Officer Armed Reception in New Orleans, LA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Education, and more. Join Allied Universal as an armed Front Desk professional at an education location, where you will greet students, staff, and visitors, manage access control and badges, and support security-related protocols with professionalism and care. In this visible role, you will help to deter incidents through strong communication, reliability, and integrity while delivering a welcoming presence that reflects teamwork and a people-first culture.

Requirements

  • Have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
  • Possess an armed guard card/license.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to students, staff, visitors, and/or vendors by carrying out site-specific procedures and front desk protocols at an educational location.
  • Monitor lobby and reception activities, verify identification and/or visitor credentials, and help to manage access in accordance with site policies.
  • Respond to incidents, concerns, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and communicate with school personnel and emergency responders when appropriate.
  • Complete logs, reports, and other required documentation related to visitors, deliveries, and security-related activities at the front desk.
