This role involves enforcing policies and procedures with all patients/residents, visitors, and staff. The Security Officer will patrol and secure facility buildings and grounds as assigned. The position requires monitoring the conduct of visitors, reporting safety and security violations, and responding to requests for assistance. The role also involves assisting with problem-solving, potentially escorting personnel, and maintaining records through incident reports and other security-related documents. Security officers must be able to work with all age groups, prioritize calls for service based on urgency and safety needs, and de-escalate stressful situations. Awareness of local laws affecting conduct on private property is also required. The necessary skills include effective communication with all customers, professional report writing, and the physical ability to perform basic security functions.
