About The Position
Allied Universal is currently hiring a Part Time Security Officer for a college in Cambridge, MA. This role involves serving and safeguarding clients in educational environments. As a Part-Time Security Officer, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, support a welcoming campus atmosphere, and help to deter security-related incidents through a visible presence. You will conduct routine patrols, assist students, staff, and visitors with exceptional customer service and communication, and bring agility, reliability, innovation, teamwork, and integrity to every shift.
Requirements
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- Applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or when appropriate, emergency response activities.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
- Conduct regular and random patrols around the location and perimeter.
