About The Position

Allied Universal is Currently Hiring a Full Time Security Officer for a College Campus in Roxbury MA. As a Security Officer in Roxbury Crossing, MA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Education, and more. Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and/or appropriate emergency response activities within an educational campus environment.
• Respond to incidents, unusual activity, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and reporting concerns to site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of campus buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related issues.
• Monitor access points and observe student, staff, visitor, and vendor activity, offering directions and assistance while following location protocols for entry, identification, and/or visitor management.
• Support campus operations during classes, events, and after-hours periods by communicating with administrators and/or first responders as needed and helping to address security-related concerns.
