As a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Checkpoint in Indianapolis, IN, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking-up additional shifts when it works for you. This role is ideal for candidates seeking part-time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build-up to a full-time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Requirements

  • Have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • X-Ray screening experience is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service by carrying out site-specific screening procedures, access protocols, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a busy logistics and distribution location.
  • Screen employees, visitors, contractors, and/or deliveries entering or leaving the location in accordance with post orders and client-directed procedures.
  • Monitor entry and exit points, verify credentials and/or shipment documentation, and report unusual activity, policy violations, and/or suspicious behavior to site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and supporting follow-up actions as needed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the location and perimeter, noting security-related concerns, operational disruptions, and/or unauthorized access attempts.
