About The Position

As a Security Officer Unarmed Vehicle Patrol Driver in San Carlos, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. Join Allied Universal as an unarmed patrol officer at a government transit location, where you will monitor assigned areas, conduct routine vehicle and foot patrols, and help to deter security-related incidents through a visible presence. Requirements

  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and/or members of the public by carrying out assigned security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and communicating with supervisors and/or public agency contacts as needed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout transportation facilities, public access areas, and perimeter locations to help identify unusual activity, maintenance concerns, and/or policy violations.
  • Monitor entrances, platforms, parking areas, and other assigned locations to help control access, observe activity, and provide directions or assistance to the public when needed.
  • Prepare clear, accurate reports of daily activities, incidents, and/or observed conditions, and support site staff with assigned security-related duties in a government location.
