As a Screener with Allied Universal at a fast-paced tech and telecom location, you will greet associates and visitors, screen entries and deliveries, monitor access points and cameras, and document security-related activity using a computer or tablet. Your visible presence and clear communication help to discourage unwanted activity while supporting a welcoming experience. You will work with a team that is agile, reliable, and innovative, always acting with integrity.

Requirements

• Have at least 2 years of security-related experience.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

• A guard card and/or license is preferred.
• Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• CPR and/or First Aid certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to personnel and visitors by following Allied Universal security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a tech-focused location.
• Screen employees, contractors, and visitors at entry points by verifying credentials, managing access control, and conducting package, bag, and/or equipment checks as required by site policy.
• Monitor screening lanes, lobby areas, and access control systems for irregular activity, and document findings per post orders and reporting requirements.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including coordinating with site leadership and/or first responders as needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized access, with working environments and conditions varying by client site.
