Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Access control and badge experience is preferred.
  • Loss prevention experience is preferred.
  • CPR and/or First Aid certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service by carrying out security-related screening procedures, site-specific policies, and/or appropriate emergency response activities at a fast-paced technology location.
  • Screen employees, visitors, packages, and/or deliveries in accordance with post orders and access protocols, and report irregularities or concerns to site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner while documenting observations and completed screening activities.
  • Monitor entry points, verify credentials, and help to deter unauthorized access through attentive screening, access control support, and professional communication.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and perimeter as assigned, noting conditions that may require follow-up or additional security-related response.
