About the position

The Security Officer at the Medical University Hospital Authority (MUHA) is responsible for monitoring and ensuring the safety and security of the hospital's facilities, employees, patients, and visitors. This role requires effective communication skills and the ability to follow established security protocols under general supervision. The position involves shift work and may require overtime, emphasizing the need for a proactive approach to security in a healthcare environment.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and provide protection and security for facilities, premises, employees, patients, and visitors.
• Communicate tactfully with the general public.
• Follow prescribed standards and practices set by the Manager of Hospital Security.
• Perform routine and repetitive security duties as required.
• Work shifts and be available for overtime as needed.

Requirements

• High School Degree or Equivalent
• 1 year of relevant work experience
• Ability to perform job functions while standing, sitting, and walking for extended periods.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs. unassisted.
