As a Security Officer Patrol Credential Specialist in Brooklyn, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a government location, where you will conduct routine patrols, monitor assigned areas, and support access awareness while providing outstanding customer service and communication. In this role, you will help to discourage security-related incidents, remain visible, and contribute to a caring, reliable team that puts people first and acts with integrity every day.

Requirements

  • A valid New York State Security Guard License is required.
  • At least 6 months of security-related experience is required.
  • Proof of a high school diploma or GED is required by the client.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to residents, visitors, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or appropriate emergency response activities at a government services location.
  • Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and reporting concerns to site leadership when needed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the location, including entrances, common areas, exterior grounds, and perimeter areas, helping to identify unusual activity and/or policy violations.
  • Monitor access points and verify authorized entry, offering directions and support to visitors while helping to maintain orderly movement throughout the location.
  • Support daily operations by completing incident reports, recording relevant activity, and communicating professionally with client representatives, community members, and/or first responders as appropriate.
