Requirements

  • A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located.
  • A minimum of 3 years of combined law enforcement, military, and/or security-related experience is required, or a college degree is required.
  • Proof of a high school diploma or GED is required by the client.
  • Applicants must be 21 years of age or older.
  • A guard card is required.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service by carrying out screening procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities at a government location.
  • Screen employees, visitors, and/or personal items in accordance with site protocols and report unusual activity or prohibited items to appropriate personnel.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner while following established security-related procedures.
  • Monitor entry points, verify access authorization, and help to deter unauthorized access through consistent screening and observation practices.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the location and perimeter, as directed by site needs and working conditions.
