About the position

VISTA International Security is seeking both Unarmed and Armed Security Guards to join our team in Southfield, MI. This role involves patrolling and securing assigned premises, identifying risks to staff and patrons, and ensuring compliance with security protocols. We offer both part-time and full-time positions across various shifts, with immediate availability required for training and a probationary period.

Responsibilities

• Monitor premises to prevent theft, violence, or infractions of rules.
• Thoroughly examine the area, sites, and facilities to ensure proper function and security.
• Warn violators of premise rules and regulations.
• Report any facility issues and violations to management and proper law enforcement.
• Request emergency personnel for high-risk situations.

Requirements

• Previous experience in security, law enforcement, or other related fields preferred but not required.
• Must be a current CPL Holder and have proper training and credentials for armed positions.
• Familiarity with security equipment.
• Ability to handle physical workload.
• Ability to stand and be on your feet for up to 8-10 hours per shift.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Must be able to pass a criminal background check.
• Must have reliable transportation.
