As an Access Control Officer in a busy retail location, you will help manage entry points, verify badges and/or credentials, greet team members and visitors, and document activity to support security-related operations. You will remain visible, conduct routine patrols nearby as needed, and respond to questions or concerns with calm, clear communication. Requirements

• Have 2+ years of security-related experience.
• Be 21+ years of age.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

• Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities at a retail store or mall location.
• Control access at designated entrances, verify identification and/or authorization when required, and maintain visitor and delivery logs per site procedures.
• Monitor foot traffic, entrances, and key areas to help to deter theft, trespassing, and/or other prohibited activity, escalating concerns through the proper chain of communication.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including assisting with disorderly conduct, lost persons, and/or medical response coordination as directed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout interior sales floors, back-of-house areas, and the perimeter, and complete required reports and documentation.
