As a Security Officer - Overnight Hotel Patrol in Oceanside, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Hotels & Resorts, and more. Join Allied Universal at a premier hotel and resort location, where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, support a welcoming atmosphere, and help to deter security-related incidents through visible presence and attentive service. In this unarmed role, you will complete routine patrols, assist guests and staff with professionalism, and bring agility, reliability, innovation, teamwork, and integrity to each shift.

Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to guests, visitors, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or appropriate emergency response activities at a hotel and resort location.
  • Respond to incidents, guest concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner while documenting observations and reporting security-related matters to site leadership.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout lobbies, hallways, common areas, parking areas, and the perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or identify unusual conditions.
  • Monitor access points and visitor activity, help to verify credentials when required, and report suspicious behavior, maintenance concerns, and/or policy violations according to post instructions.
  • Support hotel operations by assisting with directions, answering basic questions, and communicating with guests and staff regarding security-related issues, disturbances, and/or emergency situations.
