About The Position

As a Security Officer - Inspection Monitor, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. Join a leading team where flexibility meets opportunity. As a Part-Time Security Officer, you can build a schedule that works for you and explore new roles using our Claim a Shift platform. As a Screener in a government location, you will help monitor entry points, screen visitors and belongings, and support a professional environment through strong communication and attention to detail. Requirements

  • Have at least 2 years of security-related experience.
  • Client requires proof of high school diploma or GED.
  • Be 21+ years of age.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.
  • X-ray screening experience is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to visitors, staff, and/or contractors by carrying out screening procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a government location.
  • Screen people, bags, packages, and/or personal items at designated access points using approved procedures and equipment to help support security-related operations.
  • Verify identification, access permissions, and prohibited item restrictions while communicating directions and screening expectations in a professional manner.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and/or unusual activity in a calm, problem-solving manner, and report security-related concerns according to post procedures.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of screening areas, entry points, and nearby grounds to help observe conditions and support site rules.
