About the position
Looking for a top notch Security person to jump in and support our site! Under general supervision, perform assigned DEA & security activities within the Corp DEA & Security Department to provide a safe and secure work environment in specified Piramal Laboratory's sites for the protection of employees, products, and resources from both internal and external threats. Be able to complete multi-functional assignments, day to day functions, and provide departmental support in a timely manner. This is a safety sensitive position.
Responsibilities
- Follows prescribed procedures in performing assigned DEA and security responsibilities within the Corp DEA & Security Department to ensure accountability of controlled drug substances.
- Provides physical protection of specified assets on a shift of operation.
- Mans a post and/or patrols to maintain access control, prevent diversion of controlled substances, detect and deter unauthorized entry or individuals, detect fire or other emergencies, prevent loss and or infractions of rules.
- Observes, reports and responds to unusual or suspicious activity and immediately notifies supervision.
- Completes incident reports as necessary.
- Monitors, maintains, and/or controls alarm, access, and Video Management and/or communication systems for multiple locations.
- Reports incidents and emergencies to the site or corporate Security Center.
- Complies with applicable federal state and local regulations and laws; company policies and procedures and current Good Manufacturing Procedures (cGMP).
- Assists with compliance in DEA registered sites.
- Performs other assignments as requested or as business needs require.
