Join Allied Universal as an Unarmed Patrol Officer in a healthcare location, where you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help reduce security-related incidents, and support staff, patients, and visitors with strong customer service and communication. Requirements

  • Must have 1+ years of law enforcement experience or 2+ years of security supervisor/manager experience or 3+ years of security-related experience.
  • Proof of a high school diploma or GED is required.
  • Must meet hospital vaccine requirements.
  • Must be able to restrain individuals in a hospital setting.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to patients, visitors, and staff by carrying out site-specific procedures, access-related policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities in a healthcare location.
  • Respond to incidents, disturbances, and urgent situations in a calm, professional, and problem-solving manner, documenting observations and reporting security-related concerns to site contacts and/or Allied Universal leadership.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the facility, entrances, parking areas, and perimeter to help identify unusual activity, unsecured areas, and other security-related issues.
  • Monitor public areas and restricted locations for unauthorized access, disruptive behavior, and policy violations, and help to deter incidents through visible presence and timely communication.
  • Support hospital and clinic operations by assisting with directions, de-escalation, visitor management, and other security-related duties as needed based on site procedures.
