About the position
The Security Officer at Glenaire is responsible for ensuring the safety and security of the premises, assets, staff, and visitors. This role requires a highly competent individual who can monitor and protect the facility, particularly during the 3rd shift from 11 PM to 7 AM. The ideal candidate will have prior experience in security, training in self-defense and first aid, and the ability to respond quickly to suspicious activities and emergencies.
Responsibilities
- Perform security patrols on foot or in vehicle
- Maintain site security and watch for irregular or unusual conditions that may create security concerns or safety hazards
- Permit authorized persons to enter property
- Prepare reports on accidents, incidents, and suspicious activities
- Provide assistance to residents, employees, and visitors in a courteous and professional manner
- Respond to emergencies
- Ensure the safety of all residents
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Valid NC driver's license
- Must be at least 21 years old
- Desire to serve senior adults
- Positive outlook
- Ability to take initiative and be detail-oriented
- Working independently and on a team
- Flexible and able to handle a fast pace
- Great communication and documentation skills
