About the position

We are seeking a professional Security Officer to join our team at Tact Tech Security Solutions, LLC. The primary responsibility of this role is to create a safe and secure environment by protecting our premises, assets, and employees while preventing any illegal or inappropriate occurrences. The ideal candidate will have experience in public safety and security, demonstrating a high degree of integrity at all times.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and control access to the property, checking identification and authorizing entry as needed.
• Maintain constant surveillance of the entry/exit points and report suspicious activities to the Security Supervisor.
• Register and assist visitors, contractors, and delivery personnel, ensuring adherence to security protocols.
• Document and report security incidents, safety hazards, and unusual occurrences in a timely manner.
• Coordinate effectively with other security personnel and communicate all relevant information via radio or designated communication systems.
• Assist in emergency situations, including fire, medical, and evacuation protocols.
• Maintain logs and records of gatehouse activities, visitor entries, and security incidents.
• Provide professional and courteous assistance to employees, guests, and vendors entering the facility.
• Follow all company and client-specific security procedures, safety protocols, and legal requirements.

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years old for this position.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent, or 5 years of verifiable experience.
• Valid security guard D license.
• Valid FL driver's license.
• Previous experience as a Security Guard or in a similar position is preferred.
• Strong understanding of public safety and security procedures.
• Excellent written communication skills and report writing ability.
• Ability to operate surveillance equipment.
• High level of integrity and professionalism.
• Attention to detail and strong observational skills.
• Ability to work without direct supervision.
