As an Armed Patrol Officer at a financial institution location, you will conduct routine patrols, stay highly visible, and respond to security-related concerns to help reduce incidents. You will monitor activity, document observations, and communicate clearly with staff, visitors, and local responders as needed. Requirements
- Be at least 21 years of age.
- Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
Nice To Haves
- Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
- Having an armed guard card and/or license is preferred.
- Having CPR and/or First Aid certification is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to clients and visitors while following Allied Universal security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a financial institution location.
- Carry and maintain assigned firearm and related equipment in accordance with licensing requirements, post orders, and company guidelines, and use sound judgment when responding to potential threats.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including alarms, suspicious activity, and duress situations, and coordinate with law enforcement and/or emergency services as directed.
- Conduct regular and random armed patrols of the facility, exterior grounds, parking areas, and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify hazards or irregular conditions.
- Monitor access points and security-related systems such as cameras, intrusion alarms, and key control, and complete detailed reports and documentation for shift activity, incidents, and policy violations.
