As a Security Officer Experienced Patrol Associate in Philadelphia, PA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Education, and more. Join Allied Universal as a Security Officer in an education location, where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, remain visible to help discourage security-related incidents, and deliver outstanding customer service and communication. Requirements

  • At least 1 year of security-related experience is required.
  • Proof of a high school diploma or GED is required by the client.
  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

  • Customer service experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to students, faculty, staff, visitors, and/or vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Respond to incidents, unusual activity, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and communicating with site contacts and/or Allied Universal leadership as needed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout academic buildings, common areas, parking locations, and perimeter points to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or identify maintenance or access concerns.
  • Monitor entrances, exits, and high-traffic areas, verifying authorized access when required and reporting security-related issues, suspicious behavior, and/or policy violations.
  • Support daily operations at an education location by providing directions, assisting with visitor inquiries, and following post orders for scheduled activities, after-hours access, and/or special events.
