As a Security Officer Licensed Access Coordinator in New York, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Utilities, and more. Requirements

  • Possess a valid New York State Security Guard License.
  • Possess a valid TSA Issued TWIC.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Be comfortable using a computer or tablet preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and contractors by following site-specific access procedures, verifying credentials, and monitoring entry and exit activity at a utilities location.
  • Support access control operations by screening guests, issuing badges and/or visitor passes, maintaining accurate logs, and reporting irregularities through appropriate channels.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and communicate with site contacts and/or emergency responders as needed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the location and perimeter to help identify unauthorized activity, unsecured access points, and other security-related concerns.
  • Follow Allied Universal and site protocols for key control, restricted area access, and security-related documentation while helping to support daily operations.
