About The Position

As a Security Officer Credential Control Coordinator in New York, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Utilities, and more. Requirements

  • A New York State Security Guard License is required.
  • A TSA issued TWIC is required.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Access control and badge experience is preferred.
  • Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and contractors by carrying out access control procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a utility location.
  • Monitor entry and exit points, verify credentials and authorizations, and document visitor, vendor, and vehicle activity in accordance with site access requirements.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and communicate relevant details to supervisors, site contacts, and/or emergency personnel as needed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the location and perimeter to help identify unusual activity, access concerns, and other security-related issues.
  • Support security-related operations by maintaining accurate logs, reporting maintenance or access control concerns, and helping to deter unauthorized entry into restricted areas.
