Join Allied Universal as an Armed Security Officer in a healthcare location, where you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and support patients, visitors, and staff with professional customer service and communication. This is an armed and driving post for someone who values teamwork, acts with integrity, and brings a reliable, caring approach to each shift.

Requirements

  • Certified Protection Officer certification is required.
  • Proof of high school diploma or GED is required by the client.
  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • X-Ray screening experience is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to patients, visitors, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and/or appropriate emergency response activities within a healthcare setting.
  • Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including supporting de-escalation efforts and contacting local emergency services when needed.
  • Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout buildings, parking areas, entrances, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or suspicious behavior.
  • Monitor access points and sensitive areas, verify identification and/or credentials when required, and report unusual conditions, hazards, and policy violations to site leadership.
  • Prepare accurate incident, activity, and patrol documentation, and work with healthcare personnel and Allied Universal leadership to support daily operations and/or response needs.
