As an Allied Universal officer in a healthcare location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, remain visible to help reduce security-related incidents, and support staff, patients, and visitors with exceptional customer service and communication. Requirements

  • At least 1 year of security-related experience is required.
  • Must meet hospital vaccine requirements.
  • Must be willing to work in a hospital environment that includes a morgue.
  • Proof of a high school diploma or GED is required by the client.
  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
  • Must be able to restrain individuals in a hospital environment.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to staff, patients, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and/or appropriate emergency response activities within a healthcare location.
  • Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including assisting with access-related concerns and reporting unusual activity.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout buildings, parking areas, and the perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or identify potential concerns.
  • Monitor entrances, exits, and common areas to help to deter unauthorized access, support visitor screening processes, and/or document security-related events.
  • Communicate with site contacts, first responders, and Allied Universal leadership regarding incidents, maintenance concerns, and/or other conditions that may impact daily operations.
