Requirements

  • Hospital vaccinations are required.
  • Ability to work in a hospital environment that includes a morgue is required.
  • Proof of high school diploma or GED is required by the client.
  • Ability to restrain individuals in a hospital setting is required.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and/or vendors by carrying out site-specific procedures, access-related activities, and when appropriate, emergency response actions within a healthcare location.
  • Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and sharing information with site contacts and/or first responders as needed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout buildings, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help to identify unusual activity, unsecured areas, and other security-related concerns.
  • Monitor entrances, exits, and other assigned areas, helping to support authorized access, visitor direction, and adherence to location policies and procedures.
  • Support healthcare operations by assisting with de-escalation, reporting hazards or maintenance concerns, and providing a professional presence during routine and/or high-traffic conditions.
