About The Position

As a Security Officer Checkpoint Screener in San Bernardino, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. Requirements

At least 2 years of security-related experience is required.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
X-Ray screening experience is preferred.
The ability to lift up to 20 pounds is preferred.
Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service by carrying out security-related screening procedures, site-specific policies, and/or appropriate emergency response activities at a government location.
Screen employees, visitors, and/or contractors entering the location by using assigned screening equipment, checking permitted items, and referring questions or concerns according to site procedures.
Monitor entry points and access activity, verify identification or credentials when required, and help to deter unauthorized entry into restricted areas.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including communicating with court personnel, visitors, and/or first responders as needed.
Maintain detailed activity logs and incident reports, observe conditions in public areas, and report suspicious behavior, hazards, and/or policy violations to the appropriate personnel.
