You will conduct routine mobile and foot patrols, stay highly visible to help to deter security-related incidents, respond to alarms and service calls, and document activity using site technology. Requirements

  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to site personnel and visitors by following security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a technology and telecommunications location.
  • Carry and maintain authorized firearm and related equipment in accordance with Allied Universal policies, post orders, and applicable laws, using professional communication and sound judgment during routine and escalated situations.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including coordinating with site management and/or public emergency services as needed.
  • Conduct regular and random armed patrols of interior and exterior areas, including parking areas and perimeter checkpoints, to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or policy violations.
  • Monitor access points and security-related systems such as cameras and alarm panels when assigned, document observations and incidents, and complete detailed reports for shift turnover and management review.
