Requirements

  • Possess 2+ years of security-related experience.
  • Be comfortable using a computer and/or tablet.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Loss prevention experience is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • A guard card and/or license is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to all visitors, employees, and/or contractors by carrying out site-specific access control procedures, credential verification, and appropriate emergency response activities at a technology-focused location.
  • Monitor entry and exit points, screen visitors, issue access credentials as directed, and maintain accurate visitor and/or delivery logs in support of security-related site policies.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating concerns through the proper chain of command and documenting security-related activity as needed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the building, lobby areas, and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized access and identify unusual conditions.
  • Support day-to-day operations by communicating clearly with site contacts, following post orders, and reporting maintenance, access, and/or security-related concerns in a timely manner.
