As a Security Officer Access Monitor in Odessa, TX, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Chemical/Petrochemical, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Access Control Officer at a dynamic chemical and petrochemical location, where you will help monitor entry points, verify credentials, patrol assigned areas, and support a professional environment through strong communication and customer service. Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to all persons at the location by following site-specific access control procedures, visitor processing requirements, and/or emergency response activities when appropriate.
  • Monitor entry and exit points, verify credentials, screen visitors, vehicles, and/or deliveries, and document access activity in accordance with location protocols.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating concerns to site contacts and/or emergency services when needed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the business, perimeter, gates, and restricted areas to help identify unusual activity and support security-related operations.
  • Support security-related procedures within a chemical and petrochemical location by helping to control access to sensitive areas, maintaining accurate logs, and reporting hazards, policy violations, and/or suspicious behavior.
