As a Security Officer Ingress Control in Minooka, IL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. Join Allied Universal at a fast-paced logistics and distribution location, where you will help manage access control, monitor entry and exit activity, and support security-related protocols for people, visitors, and deliveries. Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and delivery drivers by following access control procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Monitor entry and exit points, verify credentials, process visitor and vendor access, and maintain required logs and documentation for the location.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and unusual activity in a calm, problem-solving manner, and communicate with site contacts and/or first responders when needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the location, including building access points, shipping and receiving areas, parking areas, and perimeter locations, as assigned.
• Help to deter unauthorized access, support traffic and truck flow at entry gates, and report maintenance, security-related, and/or operational concerns observed during the shift.
