As a Security Officer Patrol in Newell, WV, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Chemical/Petrochemical, and more. Join Allied Universal at a dynamic chemical and petrochemical location as an unarmed patrol officer, helping monitor assigned areas through routine patrols, visible presence, access-focused observations, and strong customer service. Requirements

  • Possess at least 1 year of security-related experience.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

  • Access control and badge experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, and/or contractors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a chemical and petrochemical location.
  • Respond to incidents, unusual conditions, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and reporting concerns according to site protocols.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout operational areas, access points, parking areas, and the perimeter to help identify and report unauthorized activity, hazards, and/or irregular conditions.
  • Monitor entry and exit activity, verify credentials when required, and help support site access control procedures for employees, visitors, deliveries, and/or contractors.
  • Communicate with site contacts, supervisors, and/or first responders as needed to relay incident details, request assistance, and help support an organized response to changing conditions.
