As a Security Officer Access Control Specialist in Cedar Fort, UT, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Food/Beverage, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Access Control Officer at a dynamic food and beverage location, where you will monitor entry points, verify credentials, manage visitor activity, and support security-related operations with professionalism and care. In this role, you will remain visible, help to deter incidents, and deliver outstanding customer service through clear communication, teamwork, integrity, and a people-first approach.

Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • CPR and/or First Aid certification is preferred.
  • A guard card and/or license is preferred.
  • The ability to use a computer and/or tablet comfortably is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service by carrying out access control procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities at a food and beverage location.
  • Monitor entry and exit points, verify badges, credentials, and/or visitor logs, and help to deter unauthorized access to restricted areas.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and reporting security-related concerns according to site procedures.
  • Support employee, visitor, and/or contractor check-in processes, including directing arrivals, confirming authorization, and communicating post orders and facility requirements.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the location and perimeter, noting unusual activity, access issues, and/or condition changes that may require follow-up.
