About the position

The Security Manager at GovCIO will oversee cybersecurity projects for a newly awarded customer contract. This fully remote position requires a strategic leader to ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and budget while aligning with cybersecurity standards and frameworks.

Responsibilities

• Plan, execute, and deliver cybersecurity projects on time, within scope, and budget.
• Define project objectives, scopes, milestones, and deliverables in collaboration with stakeholders.
• Develop and manage detailed project plans, schedules, budgets, and risk assessments.
• Coordinate and lead regular meetings, providing project updates to stakeholders, senior management, and clients.
• Collaborate with security teams to identify and analyze potential cybersecurity risks, developing mitigation strategies as part of each project.
• Stay updated on current and emerging cybersecurity threats and ensure project initiatives address these areas.
• Align projects with cybersecurity standards and frameworks (e.g., NIST, ISO 27001, GDPR, etc.).

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree with 8+ years of experience or commensurate experience.
• 8 years of cybersecurity experience.
• Must have an active HUD Public Trust clearance.
