About The Position

The Security, Infrastructure, and Environmental (SIE) Specialist provides essential technical and operational support for our facility's physical assets. Reporting directly to the SIE Assistant Manager, you will be responsible for the day-to-day execution of security protocols, monitoring on-site construction activities, and ensuring environmental compliance. This is a hands-on role that balances administrative record-keeping with active, on-site maintenance and inspection.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma, G.E.D., or equivalent is required.
  • At least 1 year of combined experience in environmental compliance, security management, contractor/vendor management, or construction site supervision/coordination.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office with the ability to create, interpret, and manipulate data in Microsoft Excel.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Must have the ability to commute within the neighboring facilities for meetings, events, etc.
  • Able to stand, walk, reach, and lift repeatedly throughout shift.
  • Ability to bend, turn, and use peripherals as required to operate equipment safely within company standard operator procedures.
  • Ability to use standard office equipment laptop/computer, cell phone, printer, etc.
  • Able to work in a warehouse or office environment for up to 8-hour shifts, and any overtime hours if applicable.
  • The employee is generally required to spend long periods of time sitting, typing, and working at a computer.
  • May require the ability to occasionally lift up to 30 pounds and transport items.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Environmental Health, or Safety related field preferred.
  • Prior experience in business administration, operational planning, project management, etc. is desired.
  • OSHA 10, NFPA 70E, HAZMAT, or related certification is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Assist the Assistant Manager in coordinating with external contractors; walk the site to ensure construction is proceeding according to plan.
  • Tackle "handyman" tasks including minor repairs, hardware adjustments, and general troubleshooting to reduce reliance on outside vendors.
  • Conduct daily walkthroughs to identify infrastructure wear and tear or safety hazards.
  • Ability to provide clear, concise status updates to the Assistant Manager and interact professionally with contractors.
  • Maintain and troubleshoot access control systems and CCTV hardware.
  • Ensure all site visitors and staff adhere to established security policies.
  • Provide detailed reports on any security breaches or equipment failures to the Assistant Manager.
  • Monitor on-site waste disposal and chemical storage to ensure compliance with environmental regulations.
  • Maintain precise logs and records for environmental audits and safety inspections.
  • Basic understanding of environmental health and safety (EHS) standards or building codes.
  • Identify opportunities for energy or water savings within the facility.
