About The Position
A security guard's job is to monitor a property for safety and security, and to respond to any emergencies. Security guards are often the first to notice and act on security issues.
Requirements
- Have excellent communication skills
- Be proactive and attentive during working hours
- Be able to work independently
- Applicants must be legally authorized to work for ANY employer in the United States.
- Austin is unable to sponsor or take over sponsorship of an employment visa for this position.
Responsibilities
- Regularly inspect and patrol the premises
- Monitor surveillance cameras, entrances, and exits
- Authorize who can enter and exit the property
- Respond to alarms and other emergencies in a timely manner
- Report any suspicious activity, incidents, or irregularities
- Assist people in need, provide information, and guide traffic
- Secure doors, windows, and other entrances
- Document all observations and incidents in reports
- Be a visible deterrent to crime and rule infractions
