About the position

The Security Guard position at our Greeley facility is crucial for maintaining a safe and secure environment for all employees and visitors. The primary responsibility of the Security Guard is to monitor plant activity, ensuring that all operations run smoothly and safely. This includes conducting hourly rounds to check trailer temperatures, room temperatures, and the security of gates. The Security Guard will also monitor all associates entering and exiting the building, including managing car traffic to ensure safety protocols are followed. In addition to monitoring, the Security Guard will be responsible for weighing trailers in and out using master scales, which is essential for maintaining accurate records of shipments. The role also involves answering the switchboard after hours, providing a point of contact for any urgent matters that may arise. Billing loads and following company policies are also key components of this position. The Security Guard will operate company-owned vehicles to perform inspections and receive shipments of supplies and raw materials, ensuring that all deliveries are handled appropriately and securely. This position requires a professional attitude and the ability to work independently, as the Security Guard will often perform tasks without direct supervision. Attention to detail is critical, as is the ability to communicate effectively, especially under stress. The Security Guard must be prepared to work any shift, adapting to the needs of the facility and ensuring that security measures are consistently upheld.
