About the position

The Security Guard position at Coreworks involves performing protective and enforcement functions to maintain a safe and secure environment for guests, visitors, and team members. The role requires a courteous and restrained approach when dealing with emergencies, disturbances, and threats to life and property. This full-time position is scheduled from Sunday through Thursday, 11:00 pm to 7:30 am, and is essential to the core support services team of the company.

Responsibilities

• Conduct foot patrol of the site interior and perimeter to identify potential security and safety risks or undesirable conditions.
• Evaluate situations and make logical decisions on how to proceed and direct work.
• Maintain order on the site and coordinate responses to emergency conditions, including fires and safety hazards.
• Handle undesired conduct and violations of building policy and civil laws as warranted.
• Answer security telephone and safety hotline calls and respond in a timely manner based on priority.
• Memorize and monitor life-safety system, including layout of the building and locations of safety equipment.
• Monitor site for unusual activity and report suspicious behavior to the supervisor.
• Administer CPR and first aid as needed.
• Provide accurate information to inquiries for directions and hours of operations.
• Escort guests and employees to parking lots as required.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Previous security guard experience is preferred.
