Join Allied Universal as an Access Control Officer at a government location, where you will monitor entry points, verify badges and credentials, and support a professional, welcoming environment. You will remain visible, conduct routine activity throughout assigned areas, and help to deter security-related incidents through strong communication and customer service. Requirements

  • A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located.
  • A DPSS/DHS tuberculosis test and MMR vaccinations are required in accordance with COLA requirements.
  • At least 6 months of security-related experience is required.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Access control and badge experience is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to staff, visitors, vendors, and/or authorized personnel by carrying out access control procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a government location.
  • Monitor entrances, screening points, gates, and/or secured areas to help control entry and exit, verify credentials, maintain visitor logs, and report unusual activity or policy concerns.
  • Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and communicating with site contacts and/or public agency representatives as needed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned interior and exterior areas to help identify security-related concerns, check doors and restricted spaces, and report maintenance or procedural issues.
  • Support movement control for approved individuals, deliveries, and/or contractors by following post orders, confirming authorization, and helping to maintain orderly access throughout the location.
