The Secretary (Office Automation) position at the Department of the Navy involves providing administrative support to the Fleet Inspector General Office of the Commander US Pacific Fleet. Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for administrative tasks such as budget management and records management.
  • Organize and maintain a filing system of official materials and records.
  • Serve as the liaison between the N01IG Staff and other COMPACFLT directors.
  • Maintain and manage calendars, coordinate meeting arrangements, and schedule meetings.
  • Prepare correspondence and develop presentation materials.

Requirements

  • Must be a US Citizen.
  • Must have at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-06 grade level.
  • Ability to type at least 40 words per minute.
  • Experience utilizing office automation hardware and software systems for administrative support.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in managing supplies and office equipment.
  • Familiarity with official travel management.
