About the position
Join Zappitelli Financial Services as a Seasonal Tax Preparer, assisting clients during tax season. This role is suitable for both experienced tax professionals and those eager to enter the tax field. The position offers flexible scheduling with a preference for 40 hours per week, though part-time options are available. This is an hourly position with overtime paid at 1.5 times the regular rate.
Responsibilities
- Conduct in-person tax interviews with clients to gather essential financial information
- Prepare accurate and complete tax returns, including multiyear and multistate returns
- Assist clients with tax-related questions and future tax planning
- Handle client payments and ensure timely processing
Requirements
- Strong customer service and interpersonal skills
- Basic computer and math skills; experience in a fast-paced environment is a plus
- Background in accounting or finance, but not required
- A Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field is advantageous, but not mandatory
