This role provides SMART customer service by executing Lowe's customer service policies, procedures, and programs. The associate will actively seek out customers to understand their needs, assist them in locating, demonstrating, selecting, carrying, and loading merchandise. They will respond knowledgeably and promptly to customer and associate questions, guiding them through the store and projects when necessary. The position involves communicating information about stock, special orders, feature benefits, applications, and warranty information related to Lowe’s programs. Responsibilities also include writing customer contracts and invoices for equipment rental and tool repairs in the Tool Rental Department, and cross-functionally training in other store areas to enhance customer service delivery. The role also requires detecting signs of shoplifting, theft, and security risks, and reporting them to management or Asset Protection. Maintaining housekeeping standards, ensuring a safe and secure work environment, and adhering to all relevant safety requirements are also key aspects of the job. The associate will operate store equipment as needed, depending on their specific role and department.
