About the position

The Seasonal Retail Sales Associate at Kohl's is responsible for delivering excellent customer service and ensuring operational efficiency at the point of sale. This role focuses on creating a compelling customer experience while executing transactions quickly and accurately. Associates will engage with customers, assist with their needs, and support the training of new hires, all while adhering to company standards and policies.

Responsibilities

• Engage customers by greeting them and offering assistance with products and services.
• Operate a cash register, scan items, bag merchandise, and handle different methods of payment.
• Accurately execute point of sale and customer service standards based on company guidelines.
• Meet or exceed individual goals such as credit and loyalty.
• Support inventory accuracy through accurate completion of point of sale and merchandise disposition practices.
• Support the training process for new hires on the service team.
• Participate in daily service processes including register and cash balancing, change orders, and replenishing supplies.
• Act with integrity and foster teamwork in an engaged and inclusive culture.
• Demonstrate a customer service mindset and resolve customer issues satisfactorily.
• Accomplish multiple tasks within established timeframes.
• Follow company policies, procedures, standards, and guidelines.
• Maintain adherence to company safety policies for the safety of all associates and customers.

Requirements

• Excellent customer service skills and ability to multi-task with strong attention to detail.
• Verbal/written communication and interpersonal skills.
• Must be 16 years of age or older.
• Flexible availability, including days, nights, weekends, and holidays.
