About the position
The Seasonal Restaurant Front of House role at Nordstrom's Marketplace Caf in Cherry Hill, NJ, is designed to provide exceptional customer service in a fast-paced restaurant environment. The position involves a variety of front of house tasks, ensuring a welcoming atmosphere for customers while supporting the restaurant's operations.
Responsibilities
- Be knowledgeable and enthusiastic about the restaurant's menu and products
- Support front of house areas of the restaurant through various tasks including seating customers, answering telephones, and cashiering
- Roll silverware and brew coffee and tea
- Support and process to-go and third-party delivery food orders
- Assist with food expediting and soup service
- Stock, organize, and maintain retail displays, food cases, and stations
- Assist with bussing and ongoing table maintenance
- Support restaurant cleaning when needed
Requirements
- 1+ year experience in food service/hospitality preferred
- Ability to communicate clearly and professionally with customers and coworkers
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
- Open to working a flexible schedule
- A food handler's card where required by local or state regulations
