Within the County organization, the Facilities & Parks Department is responsible for maintaining, preserving, and managing county buildings, grounds, and park lands. The department ensures that facilities are safe, functional, and accessible for employees and the public, and that county parks remain well-maintained spaces for recreation and community use. The department is committed to protecting public open spaces and natural areas through thoughtful stewardship, restoration, and long-term planning. Its work supports the ecological health of county lands and helps ensure that residents and visitors can enjoy Door County’s parks and facilities now and in the future. To continue this important work, we are seeking a candidate who will perform the responsibilities outlined in the job summary and contribute to our efforts in serving the community. Job Summary This seasonal field-based position supports the safety, cleanliness, and regulatory compliance of Door County’s public parks. The role performs patrols and security duties from May through October, focusing on ordinance enforcement, public engagement, and monitoring environmental and facility conditions. The position operates under limited supervision and plays a key role in maintaining a safe and welcoming experience for park patrons.
