About the position

As a Summer Seasonal Lifeguard, you will be responsible for ensuring the safety of patrons in the pool area while providing exceptional customer service. This role requires a positive attitude, reliability, and a strong work ethic. Lifeguarding offers a great opportunity to work outdoors and enjoy the summer while being part of a team. Responsibilities

• Maintain a safe swimming environment by enforcing all rules and regulations of the pool area.
• Recognize and respond effectively in emergency situations, including administering first aid and CPR.
• Maintain and complete required training and certifications such as CPR, First Aid, and Lifeguarding.
• Evaluate conditions for safety and initiate an aquatics emergency action plan as required.
• Inspect pool facilities, equipment, and water to ensure safety and usability.
• Supervise and assist in cleaning the pool and related facilities and equipment.
• Assist with chlorine residual water tests and maintain records of water tests and accidents.
• Direct swimmers in and out of the pool in hazardous conditions.
• Provide a high level of customer service in every interaction with clients.
• Perform cleaning duties as assigned.
• Adhere to all company policies and procedures.
• Report unsafe conditions to your supervisor.
• Wear a corporate-approved uniform for each location.
• Perform additional duties as requested by your supervisor.

Requirements

• Previous lifeguarding and customer service experience preferred but not necessary.
• Current CPR/AED and Lifeguard certifications required.
• Ability to react calmly and effectively in emergency situations.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to communicate in multiple languages is an asset.
• Physical ability to kneel, bend, reach, climb, stand for long durations, and lift at least 50 pounds.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience in customer service is a plus.
